Ah, here we go. Literally hundreds of thousands of games every year, 1 coach in 1 game decides to hold the ball and all of a sudden we have national emergency that the high school game is ruined without a shot clock.

Well, now we know where Dean Smith is plying his trade in the afterlife ...

At 6-4 it looks like it was both coaches. No, it's not a nationwide disaster, but that's the definition of a slow game.

Add in that Parker and Carver are majority Black Birmingham schools. Those kids didn't grow up playing that way.

University of Texas women -- formerly a WBB powerhouse -- lost to Baylor today, 60-35. Thirty-five points.

Vic Schaefer DOES realize that Texas dumped Karen Aston - who was effective and well over .500 - because she went 1-15 against Baylor, doesn't he?

In all fairness, this is Schaefer's first season in Austin and it's during a pandemic. OTOH, The Republic is NOT known for patience ... ask the numerous football coaches who have been broomed out of there, never mind Jody Conradt - who won a national title in Austin - or Gail Goestenkors or Aston ...

If you are a Top 10 women’s team and you don’t beat an unranked team by 25-plus points, something has gone seriously wrong.

Not sure about that. Haves and have-nots have more separation in the women's game, yes. But watching that game, Texas couldn't throw it in the ocean to save itself. Much of it was suffocating defense by Baylor. Some of it was some shaky shot selection by the Longhorns.

Baylor's offense wasn't exactly the stuff of Final Fours. But the defensive lockdown was comprehensive enough that it didn't matter.

It's embarrassing that an athletic program that basically prints money leaves any of its athletes with a bill. Or USA Basketball. Or the surgeon's physician's assistant. Or a licensed physical therapist.

Not one of them could figure out why Prince was doing too much, too soon. Or why no one in Austin gave a crap about the kid when they realized she wasn't coming back in the next day or two.

What a world-class botch job. Almost cost a kid her leg, much less her basketball career.

Jalen Johnson to Duke: Fuck You, pay me. And rightfully so. He has secured his draft position and it’s not worth it for him to play any further for free. And Duke isn’t going anywhere unless they win the ACC tournament

This smells of both sides have had enough of one another. Thinking that Johnson and Krzyzewski talked and both sides came out disgusted. K probably wanted more consistent effort. Has Johnson been nursing an injury? Was the NCSU game - one in which Duke looked better, but NCSU is a complete mess - the final straw?

Also, the handful of games played didn't hurt Wiseman's draft standing. Probably won't affect Johnson's.
