President Biden: The NEW one and only politics thread

A friend of mine got a package yesterday that had been mailed 75 miles away on Dec. 9. He calculated the package got something like 1.8 miles closer to him each day.

The December issue of our magazine was mailed in the first week of the month and hit one of my photographers' mailbox on Dec. 11. My boss did not receive his copy until Jan. 6. The mail is seriously fucked up and inconsistent right now.

 

With the change in administrations, I look forward to a one and only politics thread that doesn’t have 50 new pages to catch up on every day.

Last week, I got my car insurance statement.

My December car insurance statement.

For a bill which was due Dec. 28 (and had already been paid, obv).

 

First day of President Trump thread: 20 pages
First day of President Biden thread: 42 pages

Of course, most everyone is in refractory period now, so the numbers should fall a bit.

 

First day of the Trump thread was the Saturday after the election, not 1-20-17.

 

I just got the January issue of our magazine yesterday. It’s usually here on or around the first of the month. Now, I get three copies mailed to me separately (which I’ve bitched about but nothing has been done): my subscription copy that I pay for, a complimentary subscription for being staff and another any time my byline appears. So far, just my paid subscription issue has shown up.

 

Ain't my fault they jumped the gun on creating it. Anyway it was just a continuation of the other politics thread.
