    8-year-old me was there.

Welcome to Green Bay, Steve Young. You could barely see the Buccaneers on the field.

Took us 3 hours to get home. Normally was a 15-minute drive.

After I found that pic, I read an article or two about that game, which included this hilarious quote from a Bucs player:

“I’m thinking as a defensive player, ‘Good, we’re on the road. We’re wearing white on white. They won’t be able to see our ass,'” Brantley remembered. “Well, they didn’t. But guess what? Our quarterback, Steve Young, couldn’t see his receivers because they were in all white! White jerseys, white pants and white helmets. The Packers wore gold pants and green jerseys and you could see them stand out like crazy. But the Bucs were all in white in the white ass snow, and you couldn’t find them!”

The Packers were founded not all that long before my dad was born.

    He's still rooting for them.

    Get the Lombardi.

Gil Hodges went hitless in a 7-game World Series. Dave Winfield had one hit in a World Series. Timmy Smith once gained 204 yards in a Super Bowl in his first start. It's sports. Stuff happens.

    Which preceded ...

... probably the best Super Bowl into series premier.

That would be a good top 10 list.

I remember the first one was The A-Team. Homicide was a good series, and it got the Super Bowl lead-in.

Best thing about that photo: PBR ad atop scoreboard.

Growing up, County Stadium (RIP) was the closest MLB park for a summer excursion and I remember my folks (who are teetotalers) not being thrilled to have to explain to me what "PBR me ASAP!" meant.

Did they explain the “Two-fisted slopper” to you?
