Except Tom Allen did a couple of really stupid things in losing to Tennessee last year in the Gator Bowl.

This feels weird launching straight into bowl season right after the regular season ends, rather than the usual three-week wait.

Interesting side note: About half of Indiana's coaching staff, including Tom Allen, worked at Ole Miss during the Hugh Freeze era.

True. But there's always a chance Lane Kiffin could take a job somewhere else just before kickoff.

    Oh I get all that
I was in a bowl pool until this year
But Carolina fans are best off staying in Columbia and Charleston, and toasting the firing of Will Muschamp

That Cure Bowl has been moved to 7:30 p.m., FWIW. Presume that the Mouse didn't want two games going on at the same time and the Cure takes the spot of something that was canceled in primetime.

Listened to an SEC-themed podcast today. One of the participants said all three of the players appearing on his Heisman ballot played in the SEC championship game. Nobody defends a conference like SEC media defend theirs.

I do as well. I only saw bits and pieces of North Carolina but they looked really, really good.

And Mack Brown is better at the coaching then Jimbo.

North Carolina's skill guys are really, really good. They have so much speed on the outside.
