Although ironically “Who is Iago?” won the GOAT tournament.

I believe you. I am behind the idea of Ken getting a whirl though.

I really love the idea of using guest hosts for a while. The loss of Alex is massive. Going straight from his shows to a brand new full-time host I think would be untenable for that person. But they rotate for a couple months? The rest of the season? It mitigates the fact that Alex is gone.

I vote for a robot with arms flailing wildly.

  6. Said Rolf Benirschke and Bob Goen.

  7. Same. My list of guest hosts (or guess hosts):

    Ken Jennings
    Anderson Cooper
    Tamron Hall
    Soledad O'Brien
    Wink Martindale
    Brooke Burns
Bob Ley (who would be fantastic)
    Jeff Probst
    Cheech Marin
    Faith Salie

The person who is chosen needs to be able to read 305 clues per day of taping, without flubs, uhs, ums, and ahs. I remember a narrative from a co-worker who was on Jeopardy that Trebek sometimes had trouble with longer clues, which is why the producers came up with The Clue Crew in later years to be able to take some of the workload off.

Shoutout for the Rolf Benirschke reference. Dang, I had forgotten about that kicker.

Everyone on that list but Faith Salie would be fine. She is the reason that I don't listen to "Wait, Wait ... Don't Tell Me!" and she is fingernails on the chalkboard during her CBS Sunday Morning appearances. I don't have a seizure when I hear her voice like that one person had with Mary Hart (parodied by Kramer on "Seinfeld"), but it's close.

I could see Cheech doing it for a week at a time when the new person is on vacation.

Bob Barker is rested, ready and will be a perky 97 on Dec. 12.
