Trump’s future is bankruptcy court. That’s the real reason he switched his legal residence to Florida — its bankruptcy laws protect the filer’s residence from seizure, and it’s the only way he’ll be able to keep Mar-a-Lago.

Hopefully, that's a letter of intent to State Pen.

Forget "disputed." It's "known to be false."

How can a business also serve as a private residence?

Under Florida law, all he has to do is file a formal declaration that that’s where he lives. He’s registered to vote at that address. The bankruptcy court would probably consider that good enough.

What does it look like when a judge beats down attorneys making bad legal arguments? This.

There’s no way #diaperdon owns MarALago as his primary residence in his name or outright. It’s a business, subject bankruptcy laws. Mrs Merriweather’s former home is a dinner and beach club. Trump may sleep in its hotel accommodations but I’d bet half his debt he doesn’t have a homestead exemption at the club

Then it is taxed as private property not as a business?

It'd still be a business located on the premises of a structure where Trump happens to live, owned by Mar-a-Lago Inc. Now we all that corporation is Trump, period, but it must file taxes and pay real estate taxes.

My friend, many people “work from home” these days.
