    There are a lot of laws that were passed to codify things in the constitution without a Constitutional amendment. The Voting Rights act, for instance. I'm not a lawyer and have never stayed at a Holiday Inn Express, so I don't know. If it can be done, it seems to be a good idea. It would apply to both parties, so the R's might even vote for it.

    Interesting take on manufacturing jobs. I don't see a whole lot to argue with, which is a pity.

    I hope some of those good Catholics on the Supreme Court read the Pope's op-ed in the Times. Clearly he hates religious freedom.
