Alex Trebek/Jeopardy Tribute Thread

I've thought Buzzy should replace Trebek basically since the first time I saw him play. I don't think the show needs someone to imitate Trebek. Whoever tries to do so will fail. Buzzy would bring a fun personality, a love for the show and I think he'd connect well with the contestants.

 

Who is Buzzy?

 

I’m tempted to put $1 dollar buck on Pauly Shore. It might seem like a waste of money but, if he gets the job, I’ll be a billionaire!

 

Buzzy Cohen. He was among the players in the Ultimate Tournament of Champions.

 

White guy? He doesn't have a nonzero chance.

 

I'd love to see Mina Kimes do it but her reaction was "Is the sportsbook my mom?"

I'd be OK with Ken Jennings or Geordi LaForge. If he can overcome a lack of formal television training, Jennings may be the better bet simply because the expectations will be lower and he's always gonna be the guy who won a ton of money on the show no matter how he does as the host.

 

He might not, but he'd be damn good at the job. Just musing on the guy I'd like to see fill Alex's shoes. I'm not exactly conducting focus groups over here.

 

My Vol Deplorables always called RBG by that name.
