Canucks wanted it that way as there will be little revenue coming in next year.

Maybe Florida has been generous. The more accurate word is stupid.

GMGM played Dale Tallon like a Stradivarius.

The expansion to Kansas City and Washington was the worst. But that was a lifetime ago.

8-67-5, I remember it well. My freshman year of college.
BUT, it was the year that made me a hockey fan and, hell, a zillion years later as a doddering old hack, I finally saw a STANLEY CUP.

(and a year later, a World Series title, so I can die happy now)

I won't link to the New York Post story, but it's being reported that Doc Emrick is retiring.

Simply the best at what he does.

None better - certainly south of the border.

Now that Tom Dundon was stupid enough to squeeze out John Forslund ... does this give him that opportunity?

That’s what I heard on the radio today.

I wonder if Cuthbert would have wanted the spot if he hadn’t jumped to HNIC?

Legendary Leafs' player, broadcaster Howie Meeker dies at 97.

Former NHL Star, Hockey Night In Canada Icon Howie Meeker Dies At 97

His greeting the TV audience "from high in the gondola overlooking Maple Leaf Gardens" opened the Wednesday Night CBC Ontario broadcast of Hockey Night in Canada, which I watched religiously as a puckhead growing up in Western New York during the Dave Keon era.
