In the coldest political terms, which I regret using on such a sad occasion, putting forward a nominee to replace Ginsburg, which of course Trump's gonna do, is the stupidest move on the board. It will enrage the opposition while voting is still going on. It will put Republican Senators up for re-election in a bind they don't need. 3. Just observing regular (slooow) Congressional process means that it's likely the vote couldn't take place until after Election Day. If Mitch crams it through, then he enrages the opposition while removing the incentive for his folks to vote. Far better to say "fair's fair" and hold himself to his own standard. Since Mitch doesn't believe in democracy, I doubt he'll do that, but if I was, say Joni Ernst, I might suggest he consider it.

Murkowski makes one. Susan Collins, about 7 points down. Cory Gardner, about 9. Martha McSally, about 7. Thom Tillis, maybe 3-4. Lindsay Graham, maybe a tie. You're them, you want this hot potato now? And you KNOW Trump will make it worse by nominating some nutbar "Christian" fascist.
