    Was just coming to answer. It was Bol. And yes, he had the famed game where he hit six three pointers, but that was about it.

    while researching this, I was reminded that Gheorghe Muresan was better than I remembered. Actually, averaged 14.6 ppg a game one year.

    Who was the first MLB player to start in an all-Star game despite not being on the ballot. Aka, he was a write-in.

    I know Steve Garvey was written in in 1974, but I'm guessing it predated him.
