    With all of the science telling us this is a virus that is predominantly transmitted airborne, all of this sanitizing of balls and other sports equipment is all for show at this point.

    Better safe than sorry. Wiping things down won't hurt anything and it might help. In terms of public health it's an outright good thing.

    Youth and teen sports were played all over America for the last several months.

    It might be the only safe way to play major sports, where every positive case is cause for a hyperventilating national report pinging across Twitter.

    And for the last several months youth infection rates have been climbing; but no correlation, amirite?
