He violated the first thing you're taught in Broadcasting 101, which is to always act as if your mic is hot.

As much as it hurts to admit, I believe he said this intentionally.

The Nuggets tweet is a tricky one. Given the context it's obvious what he meant to say. But that leaves two possibilities:

    a) He meant to type "Nuggets" but made a typo. That seems possible but pretty improbable.

    b) It autocorrected to that word. And if it's autocorrect he's got some explaining to do.

My phone’s autocorrect always autocorrects to something other than fuck, that ducking piece of crap. I’d imagine slurs are probably not in an iOS autocorrect dictionary either? I tried a few times to recreate the Nuggets guy’s gaffe, and the n-word never came up as an option for me.

Thom was good in the beginning, but he went too far.

He’s working the second game of the doubleheader. Like so many broadcasters, he’s part of a famous broadcasting family. He’ll survive. It’s Cincinnati. Very Trumpist town. If and when they announce a suspension, the outrage will be enormous.

The microphone must have autocorrected Brennaman from FLAG capital.

I believe autocorrect will add a word if you use that word all the time. On my work phone I can constantly texting reporters with specific job-related acronyms and words that aren't in the dictionary. It has learned those words.
