My wife's youngest sister, her husband and two kids, 20 and 18, all got the virus. They live in suburban Northern Va. Parents just had positive tests. Kids were sick with the old flu-like symptoms and major fatigue, but fortunately nothing worse. Reversal of the stereotype about who gets sick and who doesn't.

3 days in. My school district has had a mother murdered while her daughter was online schooling. There has been a classroom and the coordinating bus route quarantined already at one of the elementary schools. And today for about 2 hours they lost an elementary kid who did not get off the school bus. That child has been found and is safe.

"Lost" children, particularly early in the school year, are more common than you might think. Gwen's had several of those "oh crap" moments where a kid was supposed to get off the bus but no one was home, or was supposed to be a car rider and got on the bus instead, or vice versa. Teachers have to wait for the "all clear" before they can go home. And that's one of those moments when you start going through your parent info sheets and hope the number is right and somebody will answer.

And then there's the kid who actually fell asleep in the back of the bus and the driver didn't think to check to make sure everybody got off. It wasn't until the cleaning crew showed up at the bus yard that they found him, still snoozing.

Surprised it took that long. Also surprised Bottoms didn't file a countersuit and follow through. That would have been great TV.

Yes. But this girl was gone a long time. Police were involved including aerial search and an alert phone message throughout the county. No word on where they found her.

Did the other kids in the online class hear the murder?

That pretty well sums it up. It's just a hoax. It can't do any damage to anybody but old people, who deserve to die anyway.
And these same people whine that college football is imperiled.
