There were reports when they shut Rodriguez down that it was an issue related to his heart. I can't remember if I posted about it here or on the COVID thread. His situation is a prime example of the point that there can be serious, lasting effects of COVID even if the patient survives.

    Updating the postponement schedule:

Marlins (7): At Baltimore (2), vs. Baltimore (2), vs. Nationals (3)
Phillies (7): At Yankees (2), vs. Yankees (2), at Blue Jays (3)
Yankees (4): At Philadelphia (2), vs. Philadelphia (2). But played two extra games at Baltimore.
Orioles (4): At Miami (2), vs. Miami (2)
Blue Jays (3): vs. Phillies (3)
    Brewers (3): vs. Cardinals (3)
    Cardinals (3): at Brewers (3)
    Cubs (1): at Reds (1)--rainout
    Reds (1): vs. Cubs (1)--rainout

In all, I'm seeing 18 games that need to get made up.

    Marlins-Orioles (4)
    Marlins-Nationals (3)
    Phillies-Yankees (4)
    Phillies-Blue Jays (3)
    Brewers-Cardinals (3)
    Cubs-Reds (1; rainout)

Noted: Reds-Tigers rained out Saturday, but scheduled for two seven-inning high school games tomorrow. Will adjust if they don't play.

He was going to be their No. starter with Sale out, so they're more screwed than they already were. John Henry is salivating at the prospect of having a $100 million payroll next year.

If things go well (har har) several can be made up. But not all will play 60. It’ll be based on winning percentage and MLB will hope there are clear-cut playoff qualifiers.

Marlins and Cardinals players apparently had major protocol violations. Will it serve as a wake-up call for everyone? Who knows.

The current product is weird and often sloppy. But for myriad reasons, I hope it continues.

    Probably a long shot.

Also? The Mets suck. I haven’t felt this normal in months.

And his middle name is pretty well known in baseball circles.

Quick question: Is Trout into soccer?
