Close. He works as an orderly in a Covid ward, and he said that if he was going to risk his life with Covid he'd rather do it there than in the NFL.

I hadn't seen the exact quote, but that makes sense.

this is insane.. how many NFL players are going to opt.. might as well cancel the season. doesnt seem like the NFL can contain the situation if they were to start the season

Eventually, we'll have to see how many of these guys opting out never play another down. Some will be done because their time is up anyway and the Trumpandemic merely clarified things. Others will be punished.

This is a silly over-reaction. Sure, the Patriots have been hit hard, but there aren't even that many big names among those who have opted out so far. Maybe it will get to that point in the next few days, but we aren't there now.

I think African Americans generally fall into the At risk category because of access and trust in medical care and the absence of quality Health insurance. I think the NFL players generally have more access and quicker access to Medical care than most Americans. There’s nothing physiological with African Americans that make them more susceptible to the virus. The players will be tested and often, which is more than most Americans. This is not to say the must accept any unreasonable risks, but race, per se, isn’t a category that applies in this situation.

Free-agent WR Antonio Brown suspended eight games

The NFL finally made a decision on discipline for Antonio Brown, suspending him for eight games this season. Brown has apparently accepted the suspension and will not appeal. That said, the league could still add to the suspension depending on some of the ongoing legal matters Brown is facing.

Lamar Jackson has been campaigning for the Ravens to sign Brown. If they want to deal with his off-field baggage, it seems like a place Brown would love to end up.
