Actually, let's change that second question to this:

Three players other than Ralph Kiner have led the National League in homers three consecutive seasons (since 1900). All three played for the same team. Name the team and the players.

Gonna guess the Phillies: Cravath, Klein and Schmidt

That's correct. Gavvy Cravath did it twice, in 1913-14-15 and 1917-18-19. Chuck Klein led the NL in 1931-32-33 and Mike Schmidt did it in 1974-75-76.

Add in Kiner's seven consecutive NL HR titles and only players from Pennsylvania teams have led the NL three or more years in a row.

Orr, Coffey, Karlsson, and....maybe Brent Burns?

EDIT: just checked, it’s not Burns. I’ll go with Denis Potvin.

Just heard this on ESPN game, so don't answer if you heard it too.

Who has the most MLB home runs without a walk-off?

OK, since no one even tried with this one...

Other than Kiner (7) and Ruth (6 and 4 -- the only player to have two separate streaks of three of more home run titles), two players have led their league in home runs four years in a row since 1900, and both played in Philadelphia -- for the Athletics.

Harry Davis led the American League in homers in 1904-05-06-07, and Home Run Baker did it in 1911-12-13-14.

Three other players led the AL in home runs three years in a row -- Harmon Killebrew (1962-62-64), Ken Griffey Jr. (1997-98-99) and Alex Rodriguez (2001-02-03).

So six of the nine players who had led their league three years or more in a row have played for Pennsylvania teams.

I heard that too. That's a lot of homers without a walkoff.

I’ll bite and try Dave Kingman

I asked Tommy Lasorda his opinion of your answer and he said bleeping Kingman had 8 bleeping walk off home runs out of 442.

I was standing right next to Paul Olden when he asked the question that Lasorda answered.
