How else do you expect @OscarMadison to get to work?

The problem is that when Trumpists win at the polls, everybody suffers. In Texas, the Lt. Gov. basically told old people that they had an obligation to die for Trump’s economy. Because they define Amurrrica in purely economic terms. Early on, it became apparent that this thing was going to impact the poor and minority groups disproportionately. So even when it spread to SEC states, Trump did nothing. The guvnuh of Texas didn’t impose anything resembling a mask mandate for weeks.

Cool. And I agree. So let's just stipulate once and for all . . .

Outbreaks are not a "Trumpist" problem. They are a population density problem.

Then why hasn't New York suffered multiple RECENT breakouts? Or Boston? Or St. Louis?

Hmmm. New York hasn't had another serious outbreak. Because people are minimizing outings - though there is a BLM protest in Manhattan - wearing masks and spacing out. Is that city's population dense enough for you?

Doesn't seem to be acting as if it's all over. Too many places are. Our Esteemed "Leader" is looking the other way because he thinks that will make it go away. His acolytes are following. And so are many others who either don't believe in science or have yet to know someone affected.

The sad part is by the time some of them start to understand, it could be too late.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2020/07/23/michigan-convent-covid/

When word spread in the spring that the novel coronavirushad infiltrated a convent near Detroit housing the Congregation of Sisters of St. Felix of Cantalice, the residents there swiftly prepared for the worst. At the time, about 60 sisters called the convent in Livonia, Mich., home — and a number of them were elderly, having devoted decades of their lives to the congregation.

But none of the Felician sisters could have predicted just how devastating the virus would be for their close-knit community.

“We all knew if it hit the place, it would be bad,” Sister Mary Ann Smith told the Global Sisters Report (GSR) this week. “But we never anticipated how quickly it would go.”

By early April, the virus had already claimed its first life, Sister Mary Luiza Wawrzyniak, 99. Over the next month, it would sweep through the halls of the convent, taking the lives of 11 other sisters and infecting 18 more in an outbreak members are now calling “our most tragic time.”

God’s on the side of the Virus

My youngest nephew, 18, who's the son of my wife's youngest sister, has the virus. Even before the virus, he was the embodiment of your statement. It's terrible, but I'm not surprised.
