Trump’s Polling Decline Is Tying the Conservative Media in Knots

 

All I can think of now is Gomer Pyle yelling, "Citizen's arrest! Citizen's arrest!"

Conspiracy theory of the day: trump and cronies are working on a four step process and are in the midst of step 2. Step one: cut the cdc out of the information on number of cases loop. Step 2: start holding press briefings, read from the script (we’re doing something! I’ve got a strategy to deal with this!) step 3: fudge the numbers. It’s getting better! Step 4: declare victory. (See, I fixed it!).
Luckily he’ll probably mess it up because he can’t stand there and read a script that he doesn’t believe in a monotone voice for that long. And he’ll probably do an interview where he’ll admit, “yea, we reported way lower numbers than the real ones.”
And meanwhile the people will see the situation around them and know he’s lying, and 38 percent of the people won’t care.

 

Awwwww … poor widdle babies.

 

That’s why he’ll veto it, not the renaming bases nonsense.
