If Sean Doolittle pitches when Country Joe is calling balls and strikes, I don't like Doolittle's odds.

I love the game so much I can't bear to watch this shit trudge on.

In baseball there are statisticians easily found, and one of them ought to publish a risk assessment for what's being attempted.

Because the early 'sample size' is not good.

I saw somebody on Twitter yesterday whose handle I have forgotten write "I refuse to accept the word of Joe West on who is safe and who is not."

Is Freddie Freeman the only seriously symptomatic player? It sounds like many of these strapping young men are not feeling the effects.

There are also the older coaches and other personnel to consider, however.

I am hoping for the Spiders. Hopefully they will be better than the previous version!

Nashville's upping the pressure by playing the race card by naming the team the Nashville Stars (after a Negro League team) and having majority-minority ownership...

The Cleveland Naps. When you watch them, you feel like taking one.
