There's a Confederate museum in New Orleans. A significant portion of the collection was donated by the widow of Jefferson Davis. Certainly has historical value.

Went a few years ago. It has a bit of a creepy feel to it. And toward the end of the visit, started to get a "Zed's shop from Pulp Fiction" feel to the people running it.

The "gift shop" was incredibly racist.

It was a brief stop on the way to New Orleans' World War II museum, which is one of the best in the world.

Meanwhile at the protest in Louisville, a white guy with a gun showed up and unloaded.

Warning: video is semi-graphic although there’s not any spraying blood or anything like that.

A fortunate confluence of events. A racially motivated murder recorded. National protests follow. The SEC, sensing the political climate may be changing, chimes in with an empty but well timed threat. The NCAA follows with a more proximate threat (loss of baseball and women's basketball tournament games). An accomplished football player at a marquee position sticks his neck out.
The momentum was so strong that not even bigoted Trumpist lawmakers could stand up for their treasonous symbol anymore.
Congrats to all who made it happen.
Clay Trumpist and his klan must be ready to explode with rage.

The Right will be ticked off for a day, tops.

There are too many people at both ends of the political spectrum who will argue against reparations. They might not say anything out in public, but they will say it when and where they think they won't get caught.
