But that's the thing. It's bad judgement because there are racist undertones with the symbol of the noose especially at a race track in the South. A person probably genuinely thinks raising the Stars and Bars is a heritage thing and isn't doing it to be racist. The problem is the symbol runs deeper than that. A noose hanging in a random garage is the same thing. I believe who ever strung this up probably did it to be funny and get a rise out of someone, but there is a deep meaning behind it for the Black community. Talladega staff really should have seen it sooner and told whoever did it to take it down or at least make it not look like a noose.

Exactly. What's so hard about any of this?

Between the NASCAR photo of the noose and the rising COVID cases - I'm thinking it's not a good week for Clay Travis - despite the way it started.

    It’s a noose.

If someone says it’s used for something else, then they should have seen that it really looks bad and another knot could do the same job.

The owner of 311 Speedway at least owns what he did. The track has lost all but two sponsors, a couple of series said they won't come there, and seven employees have quit. The guy gave an interview and broke down in tears. He said, "I"m responsible." Whether they were crocodile tears or not, at least he didn't blame others.

Yeah, you don’t go around joking about lynchings.

Between 311 and Ace, North Carolina has a couple of gems.

Those aren't the only ones ... just the more high-profile gaffes.

    For now ...
