    Shoot, sorry to hear this.
A few short years ago, I would've been snickering about it, but in the last couple years I thought his efforts to clean up his life were pretty sincere. Plus, I'd heard him do color on a couple of Aztecs games and thought he had a bright future in broadcasting.

  5. “Sky is blue?” Really? Unnecessary comment.

I renounce myself. I missed when Ryan Leaf pulled himself together (not a snide remark, just haven't read up much on him).

I am sorry to hear this, he seemed as centered as he'd ever been.

    I’m with PC ...

... but if I ever see one more story about how this guy redeemed himself, forget it. He supposedly did before he got busted for drugs, he supposedly did before he got fired from the D-2 school for some form of fraud/theft. (Edit: The West Texas thing involved pills.) I’m sure someone wrote that story after the Chargers let him go, too.

    He’s Todd Marinovich with hair.

Thread subtext: Journos jump on bandwagon, then wonder why poster Bandwagon Boy shows up.
