A dry blizzard is more like it. It's like that 9 months out the year. The only time the wind doesn't blow is when you want it to. June, July and August.

About 20 minutes west of me last night.
The severe thunderstorm watch they issued out here yesterday afternoon turned into 5 tornado warnings.

I thought I remembered seeing the truck blow over a year ago.

No. These aren't my lotto numbers.
    High temperatures this week here.
I don't mind the heat at all, but isn't it a touch early for upper 90's-100?

God, I love a cracking and booming thunderstorm. When I lived in Champaign, I used to watch them roll in across the glacial till, stand in my freestanding garage and revel in the power of nature.

    No tornadoes, please.

Rain Saturday. Cold and windy Sunday. Warm, but not ridiculous Monday. Fucking hot today and tomorrow. Good ole California late Spring.

We are at very seasonable temperatures right now. It's the crappiest part of summer. High temps always create afternoon thunderstorms, and then the humidity is so high, the moisture won't go away. The other day, it came a typical 5 p.m. thunderstorm. At 2 p.m. the next day, the grass was still wet.
Because of the rain and sunshine, grass grows like crazy, and you really need to mow twice a week to keep your yard looking nice. You'd like to do it before it gets too hot, but it's not possible.

This is how the summer of 2011 started.

Come to think of it, this is how the summer of 1980 started too.
