Oh, she knew exactly what was coming. She got some more attention, and getting constantly ripped by the elite Hollywood liburls endeared her more to her fanbase.

I have a feeling this is going to be a disaster

Doing a "remote" Weekend Update with Jost or Che, or both, seems simple enough. They could "throw" to correspondents calling in, like all of the news channels have been doing. It's hard to imagine how they do the rest of the show though, unless it's all variations on "webcam" type shows.

As long as they've been off, the comeback should pull boffo ratings.

Since the 2009-2010 season, the top-rated SNL live shows (i.e pulling 7+) have either been Timberlake shows or hosted by either the fake Trump (Baldwin) or the real one. Exceptions were Betty White in 2010 (8.8), Jim Carrey in 2011 (7.8) and Chuck Barkley in 2012 (7.0).

Nobody has pulled a 5+ on SNL since Octavia Spencer in 2017.

I’ll definitely watch. Been checking out some of the late-night talk shows. Not bad, all things considered.

Maybe the return of Jarret's Room? Seems never more fitting than now in the day of Zoom and videoconferences.

Nothing about a host or musical guest...surprises?

This is actually pretty cool so far. Perfect choice for the host.

I hung through Weekend Update as usual.

Then Weekend Update crashed and burned. What the hell was with the laugh track? The other late night hosts have done so well with these home clips -- you'd think Jost and Che could've done it, too.

Wow. That Turtles spoof MADE this episode for me.

Yeah, Weekend Update was cringe-worthy. I think that was the rest of the cast providing the laughs, and it definitely did not work.
