If you back to 1976 when the primaries began, there has always been a "Sanders" candidate - Jerry Brown, Howard Dean, Bill Bradley, Paul Tsongas, Jesse Jackson - someone the furthest left bloc of voters support. Jackson was notable in that he was able to get non-white voters as well. The problem is that there are the once every two/four year voters who really end up deciding things. The Bernie phenomenon is that there is a bloc of voters who hadn't seen someone like him on the ballot for 16-20 year period between 1992 and 2008 or so. (They thought Obama was going to be the guy, but really didn't govern that way). So Bernie seems "new" to them.

And on the eve of Super Tuesday, it was just a remarkable coincidence that Buttigieg and Klobuchar not only got out of the way, but endorsed Biden.

They couldn't have held on for ONE MORE DAY with all those delegates at stake?

The voters are just a prop.

Bernie can do and say whatever they want: it's that 15 percent that are Bernie or Bust that are the just like the percent all-in on Trump. You aren't going to convince them.

Somebody accused Robert Mueller of sexual assault, too. Of course it was two Republican dipshits who held a press conference where the "victim" didn't show up and they couldn't agree on how she spelled her name, but should we believe that, too?

Fair enough - but if Bernie makes an effort he can sway some of them. Mostly I just don't want to see the shitshow that was '16.

Then there are the others who will write in Sanders, vote third party, or stay home. They're also known as default Trump voters.
