Weird. It's not like he'd wind up anywhere other than a holding cell until he posted bail. And they're SUPPOSED to disinfect those between uses.

Seriously, I hope they've charged him with assault and battery (perhaps the DA will even consider aggravated). Have your mom get a copy of any police report/charges and pester the DA's office tomorrow to make sure he doesn't slip through the cracks because of the pandemic. She may even tell them she will "go to the media" (hint, hint) to let them know how badly this is being handled.

I've seen a website that is grading states and counties on how well they are social distancing - it looks like a 2016 election map - though I do think it is somewhat skewed by rural areas where a) people have jobs that don't allow for telecommuting and b) those jobs can easily be 30-40 miles away.

I'm probably one of the best armed members of this board.
I know how to, can, have, and am willing to fight.
I'm a self proclaimed dirty motherfucker when it comes each of the above.

What if she lives in a Trumpist state? A shoulder noogie or two OK?

How do they define what are Democratic and Trumpist states? I've been fooling around with a spreadsheet to show the differences between red & blue states in both cases and deaths, and I come up with populations of 187 million (estimated 2019 population) for the states that voted for Trump and 142 million for the ones that voted for Clinton. Among states with over 10 million people, she won California, New York, and Illinois, but he won Texas, Florida, Ohio, Georgia, North Carolina, and Michigan. She won the popular vote because she won the largest of her states by huge margins, while he won by just a little in several largish states. If the author of that graph put a normally D state or two that happened to vote for Trump in 2016 in the D column, that wouldn't change the overall picture much, though.

Those are my own definitions. Admittedly subjective. I put Wisconsin in the D column because it had voted for Democrats in several elections prior to 2016. Ohio is fully Trumpist now. There aren't really many states that require much subjectivity.

Totally is. Areas with high population density have a clear advantage over those in which you have to drive several miles to work.
