This is what a true death panel looks like. Not that garbage Palin and her GOP asswipes were pushing about the ACA.

I’m too lazy to go back and find the post where someone said this wouldn’t happen this week.

But guess what, motherfucker? It did.

Oh Alabama. Some of these places that aren't being hit yet, and I think it's hardly fair to say Alabama isn't being hit, are going to explode just as other places start to get it under control. Especially how the president and some of their own local governments view it. It's a natural progression. While several states in the middle of the country are seeing a fair number of cases -- Colorado being one, but the tourist aspect of the state this time of year certainly plays a big role -- this is mostly on the coasts right now. To think it's not going to move inland is dumb. And to not do anything because it's not really there year is even more stupid.

Alabama has been hit, even if the Republican state government does not want to acknowledge it. It's going to get worse. We're probably still two weeks out from the first big wave here. I look for both Atlanta and New Orleans to get hit very hard next week. It's coming, and as usual the worst prepared and most neglected with be the poor largely black areas of the Sawgrass and the Black Belt. All those closed rural hospitals are going to be very costly.

As I keep saying, it won't be until the first big die-off that it starts to be broadly taken seriously. I think that hits NYC, Cali, and maybe Atlanta and New Orleans next week.

My dad had a fever last night and got tested today. I'm sort of worried because he's over 60 and has crohn's disease. We hung out for a few hours last Friday (my birthday) at my place and had dinner. Tried to stay a few feet apart.

    I'm fine at the moment.
