    I want to say Lou Pinella. Thought he might have been a player manager for a game or two with the Yankees. Not him. '86-'10. And I'm guessing the Blue Jay pictured is Bobby Cox.

    The 1979 Cubs has four pitchers who later became (were) all star-relievers: sutter, Hernandez, Donnie Moore and Bill Caudill. That has to be a record.

    Wow! I random guessed it just knowing he was always managing somewhere with no particular success save one World Series year with the marlins .

    There are five active MLB managers with 1,000 wins and three of them have won a World Series ring as either a player or a manager. Name the other two.

    Maddon won with the Cubs. Melvin is one, though he did win one as a coach with the Diamondbacks.
