You talk about an item that's way past its expiration date. It's about friggin time.

I had thought the print edition was already dead. For $25 per issue, it better have ... eh, never mind.

    I don't know how many years ago - 10? 15?
The women all looked the same. Fake plastic and fake blonde.
Not in the least attractive or sexy to anyone but 90 year-old Hefner.

Obviously the internet had a huge hand (no pun intended) in damaging Playboy - but I'd also say that the proliferation of "smut" has made it more acceptable and you find women just as attractive and "real" - if not more so - doing the hard stuff as you did in Playboy. In a way, Hefner created the portal that killed his magazine by making it more acceptable. Always found it funny that he "banned" models who did do the hard stuff.

I paid for a one-year subscription about 10 years or so ago and wasn't impressed. 16-year-old me thought Playboy was the greatest magazine ever. Forty-two-year-old me was, "Meh."

I had a subscription for years but finally gave it up when they went to the new bi-monthly format in 2017, different paper stock, lame pictorials, interviews - always one of the strongest part of the mag - chopped to shit and with people who's opinion you wouldn't give a shit about. And every other page was creepy Hef or one of his bimbos.

The nice thing about internet pages is they don’t stick together.

I remember when it was a big deal when the magazine first showed pubic hair
The woman who was the subject of that pictorial, Paula Kelly, died recently

I used to get it for celebrity pictorials and interviews. Now? No thanks
