Enjoy the little stuff. That's why I posted earlier on the Corona Virus thread about a successful Costco run.

I am trying Kroger delivery. Even though I have entered my current phone number to message, for some reason, the picker keeps sending messages on the old feature phone that started ringing in my studio.
    Messages so far:
    What is tempeh?
    Where is the tempeh?
The clerk laughed at me when I asked for tempeh.
Canned beans are easier to find. Can I get those instead?
Why do you want bagged beans?
Is oat milk really made of oats?
Are you sure you want unsweetened soy milk instead?

This is going to be a long afternoon.

I am ready to risk the virus and take up drinking.

We are up to 48 messages. There are 54 items in my order. This is the Bataan Death March of online shopping.

Saints' narratives are the Struwwelpeter of Western Religion. Actually, the Saints narrative could be the Struwwelpeter of the NFL, but that's a whole nother thing.

    I am an outdoorsman.
I had the best time today working on the dam at my pond. I'm raising the dam about two feet at the spill point which translates to about four feet at the other end and several thousand gallons of water. That means I can add a bunch of fish I can catch later.
It is back-breaking, sweaty, laborious work. I am literally on my knees packing mud and rocks. A muskrat was swimming around looking at me like "What are you doing?"
Nobody was talking to me. Nobody was bothering me. It was me, the muskrat, the water, and my work.
    That's zen to me.

    #Coronavirus Daily Goals.
    - not be sick
    - do one thing that makes me better informed (reading, studying)
    - do one thing that improves my life (cleaning, organizing, planning)
    - do one thing that makes me feel good (exercise, volunteer for others)
    - do one thing that makes me laugh.

    Sounds like a plan.

Monday was supposed to be the start of New Age of a Better Oscar. Then I spent time reading and hearing how we will be living in a blighted, third-world backwater in eighteen months. So tomorrow will be the first day of the new age of a better Oscar.

Came across this ep of WKRP and had forgotten how fantastic it is. Seems particularly appropriate right now. I can cross the daily laugh off my list.
    "You've got nice hair."
"Go on, get used to each others bodies."
"I better be leaving - I feel a group hug coming on."
"And Herb, the semi-loveable troublemaker and general jackass."
