I was talking to my students the other day. They are all high school seniors. I told them they'd never seen a big snow. They said "yeah, we've seen 6-7 inches." I said, "Uh, no."
We used to get at least one measuring double figures every year. The last one we've had was in 1998.

We've had the same, of course, because I'm like 50 miles north. It feels like it's been a significant stretch of years since our last impactful snowfall.

We had one on a random Monday in January last year. I remember it because I didn’t have to go to the office and instead watched Everton score at the death to steal a point against Watford. Ugh.

Here's the lift line at Vail this morning. Those are the ones who got up there. I-70 west of Denver is closed because of the all the snow.

On the news this morning it was reported that my county has gotten 300% of it's normal precipitation between Jan. 1 - Feb. 8.
We are supposed to get between 3-7 inches of rain the next four days.

Maybe they weren’t talking about snow?

    There are really two types:
    1. Those who don't see in a profit in it for themselves, so they don't care.
    2. Those who say, "Oh, that's just the way it is" and don't comprehend the long-term effects.
