3rd round at Pebble is just the whitest day on the sports calendar. Nantz probably watches replays of CEOs and retired QBs teeing off instead of using Viagra.

It says a lot that they haven't added a lot of celebrities under 40 in recent years - Murray is still a decent watch on the links, but it's kind of played out at this point 25 years later. Gary Mule Deer? Huey Lewis? Ray Romano? Says a lot about the state of golf.

Turned it on. Watched Romo launch one out of a bunker on 18 over the broadcast tower onto the beach. Saw three replays of it. Decided to watch Netflix.

You can always google replays of the NBA All Star Weekends if you desire the perfect blended diversity.

CBS' telecast is so plain and vanilla now.
Nantzy could put you to sleep.
Finchy is knowledgeable enough, but he played off of Feherty, Kostis and McCord so well.
    Immelman Bros. are dreadful.
    Elvy is dreadful.
Love will be good in time.
    Pepper is good.
    Faldo is very good.
Balionis is very nice to look at, but then she cracks the microphone and JUMPING SHIT WOMAN.......YOU HAVE A BLOODY MICROPHONE IN YOUR HAND.......IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO SCREAM AT US!
I still find it odd that the peacock or even FOX for the U.S. Open hasn't snapped up Kostis and/or McCord.

Phoenix was a complete snoozefest with that crew. Really needed McCord and Kostis. I'm still completely baffled by those personnel moves -- I feel like they almost made them for the Masters (the Immelman accents, sweet southern DL3) and forgot that for all the rest of the tournaments, they'd be afternoon naps.

McCord's been doing this for a long time, so maybe he wasn't that upset. NBC doesn't need him because they have Feherty. CBS really needs Faldo to keep opening up and stepping up. He's got to be the golf equivalent to Romo. Otherwise, their broadcast is taking a bath in mayonnaise.

Murray hit one gorgeous bunker shot that I bet he couldn't replicate if you gave him 100 more tries. Larry Fitzgerald had a nice tee shot on 17.

You might be correct about McCord and NBC, but he and David Feherty can carry a boring tournament broadcast if need be ... they did it for enough years at CBS. Not to mention since NBC/Comcast runs The Golf Channel, they could give McCord all the work he would ever want. But with McCord in his 70s, does he even want to? Does he want to quietly ride off into the sunset?
