I’d really like to know the thought process that leads to someone thinking, “I want to be Pornhub’s PR guy.”

Joe Burrow's personal touchdown montage. It's 16 minutes long.

If I were beckham, I would say he was giving the players money to get something better than McDonalds hamberders.

A couple of St. Tom's Nebraska teams from the 1990s belong in this discussion. I am not a Nebraska fan.

The 2001 Miami team is amazing, great...all that. But no one is putting their lives on a game that Larry Coker is coaching. 2004 USC, vacated title or not, is special. What they did to Oklahoma in the Orange Bowl that night was brutal.

That was Coker's first season. Who knew how good/bad he was? All anybody had to go on was a 12-0 team that won its last four games 187-45, three of them against Top 15 teams.

Almost think its hard to pick a team pre-8os when most games weren't televised and poll voters mainly went by score and rep only. Another thing about the playoff era - teams are playing two or three more games against quality opponents with conference title games at the end of a year instead of having a month off to prepare for one team.
But that '87 Miami team - beat five top 10 teams over the season, three in their final three games (probably helped that they played their final six games on their home field) and they weren't no. 1 until the final poll.

True story, I might have told this here long ago. A couple of my old friends used to play "good game," where you slap someone on the ass like you're back in Little League. "Good game!" They'd challenge each other to "good game" unsuspecting people for laughs. Well, we're on Bourbon Street one night and the challenge is thrown down -- the friend "good games" a guy and a split-second later is on the ground, being cuffed and arrested. He had good-gamed a plainclothes New Orleans police officer. Oooops. Gets tossed in the joint for simple battery (yeah, can't argue), public intoxication (100 percent guilty) and resisting arrest (not true -- he flinched when being tossed to the ground, like anyone would).

Fortunately earlier that night, we had a great run on the Harrah's craps tables so we were able to bail him out the next morning in cash and went home. His trial was a couple weeks later and the judge called him -- one of the New Orleans police officers from the scene showed up with his arm in a sling and doctor bills. Are you effing kidding? The judge tells my friend he can come down for a trial and lose, or just pay off the cop. The cop got paid to the tune of around four grand. Again, not a good stunt on my friend's part, but oh the corruption.
