There've been reports players received immunity in exchange for testifying

Is this a joke? Where are these reports? Bc fuck any players who toss managers or GMs under the bus for this. No one was making you go along. It’s called having a backbone

I've heard that a few places, that the only reason the players agreed to speak was a promise of immunity.

This is from Ken Davidoff in The New York Post.

"Once MLB decided to grant all players immunity in its investigation, Beltran, a player for the 2017 Astros, found himself in the clear, in terms of discipline, as long as he cooperated, which baseball officials believe he did."

David Waldstein of The New York Times credited the same fact to MLB's statement.

"Beltran’s situation is different. M.L.B. said in its statement that it would have been impractical to punish the players, because they were not in official leadership roles at the time. Players were assured immunity in return for their cooperation, and it is believed Beltran was forthright with investigators."

You know how bad it's going to look if the Puerto Rican guy (Cora) gets a lifetime ban and Hinch is managing the Giants next year?
