No. He isn't hedging at all. He's making a more aggressive bet.

That's an excellent cover. But I don't know if any SI cover can be "legendary" any more.

BTW, I know there are other people here besides me who are old enough to remember when being "the goat" was a bad thing.

But when it comes out in print next month, will anyone remember? [/crossthread]

    EDIT: Props to Poin.

I would've put Tebow around 50-60, but not that much higher. Tebow's Heisman year is strange to me. It was 2007 and there wasn't that guy that was the best player for the best team because the eventual best team had two losses. Tebow had a great season, but the Gators lost four games. I could've easily given it to Darren McFadden because he had almost 2,500 all-purpose yards and damn near single-handedly beat the team that would eventually win the national championship.

Hell I think Danny Wuerffel was a better quarterback at Florida and won a lot more (4 SEC titles, two national title games, five losses in four years, Heisman, two-time All-American) and he wasn't even listed.

It's true - it just matters more in the SEC.

LSU now admits it appears that Beckham was handing out real cash to various players after the game on Monday.
    SEC Values.
