NDSU just scored on a fake FG, leads the Barneys 17-7 in the FCS title game.

Hell of an ending in Frisco. Is it just me or has ESPN's production noticeably slipped in recent years? First noticed it on MNF, Booger aside - but the overall production isn't great whatever the sport. Replays are slow in coming, bad shot selection - something big happens and they'll spend a minute on random reaction shots before loading up a replay. It's especially infuriating with a game ending play and they'll spend minutes with a crowd rushing the field, on-field interviews and then throw to SC and you'll never get a clean concise analyis of what happened or why on the game deciding play. At best you have to wait a few minutes if the game leads SC, but too often they'll go an NBA or other game. With all the griping about ESPN over the years - their game production was always solid. It isn't anymore.

MNF has absolutely slipped, and it's especially noticeable the night after SNF.

A big reason the NFL should be concerned in the next round of TV negotiations if ESPN/ABC/Disney comes in with a boatload of money and wants SNF or, say, the AFC package along with a Super Bowl or three.

Man - your team loses by 17, you throw for fewer yards than one of the opposing QBs and one less TD than the other and you still win MVP? How the hell did Herbert get that award? If the qbs were a wash give it to the winning RB who went over 100 yards on just 15 carries.

One more question: Why was the QB for Oregon playing on the South team?

    Because it’s south of Washington?

The NFL is heavily involved in the Senior Bowl, and the NFL once gave us a “Western Division” with Carolina and Atlanta. West of the Atlantic, I suppose.
