    I was wondering about that...

the question was name three pitchers who won an MLB game as a teen and in their 40s.

hints: two are Hall of Famers. One pitched mainly in the 1920. The other had his best years in the 1970s and 1980s. The third had a career losing record and pitched for a lot of team between the 1970s and 2000s.

That is the non-hall guy. Also gave up McGwire’s 61st; was part of the Yankees McGriff trade; and was a guy who hung around forever because he was an innings eater and since he had been traded so many times he likely had the best intel on every good strip club in North America. That was valuable stuff before the Internet.

Bert Blyleven is one. I thought Walter Johnson was the other but his career ended at 39. I also thought the Babe might have a shot but he won his last game at 38.

Bert is one. I will add that young and without his trademark beard that he bore a resemblance to Steve Carlton.

the other guy was a teammate of Babe Ruth.

Kidding on my part. I learned about Herb Pennock right around the time Burger King did its Herb the Nerd campaign in the mid 1980. They are forever linked in my brain.

Ha, had completely forgotten about Burger King Herb. I think he made a appearance at a WrestleMania as well.
