    Boy, this screams of a bitchy Leach wanting out of Washington State because the AD who hired him is no longer there. If Mississippi State people didn't believe Moorhead was a good fit I have no idea how they think this will work.

    It's all relative. His new budget will be larger than the one he left but last by a mile in its division and its conference. Nothing screams irrelevance more than Mississippi State.

    This is only the third time in 13 coaching changes since 1951 that Mississippi State has hired someone with previous college head coaching experience.
    The other two were Emory Bellard in 1976 and Jackie Sherrill in 1991 -- both of whom, coincidentally, coached at and resigned from Texas A&M in their previous job before coming to Mississippi State.
