No, but Kris Bryant can. I'll gladly take Robles, Kieboom and a pitching prospect in return.

    I'm sure you would.

Settle for Michael A. Taylor, the other Kieboom and some High-A hotshot.

Hard pass. The Braves can do much better than that.

    But they won't need a 3B when Donaldson re-ups.
The Nats can, too, but they're not going that high for a possible one-year guy.

I don't think they have Spencer Kieboom any more. I thought he became a free agent in October. They still have the good one.

Nothing's happening with Bryant unless he's a two-year guy. Still can't believe it's taken five years and there's still not a decision.

Not sure I understand why the Cubs want to move on from Bryant.

I imagine the Cubs believe Bryant has little intention of signing with them when he's a free agent because of the way they fucked him on starting his service time clock. If they trade him, at least they get something in return better than the gamble of a comp pick.

Baseball reporters, tell me if I'm wrong.

Bryant should stick it to them if he gets the opportunity because they certainly did it to him with the start of his service clock.

It's not that he has no intention of re-signing. It's that he's a Boras guy so he's going to want top dollar. And I think they're going to prioritize Javy and a shorter extension for Rizzo.

Of course, there's money available for all three and no team could claim differently. But unless that repeater penalty shit goes away in the next CBA, it makes it that much harder to have a lot of mega-deal players on your team without hamstringing the rest of the roster/minors.
