How much of an cringing embarrassment does a person have to be to write this anonymously? It's the 19th tell-all book about the Trump White House. What special insight would anonymity grant? He tweets his mind on the hourly!

*I* don't need to know anything about the whistleblower. Short of it being, I dunno, Melania, I think I have a pretty good idea of what's happened here. It has very little to do with Trump being impeached - if Trump's impeached it's because he's Trump, and thus eminently impeachable, and this the Capone tax evasion case they could get him on.

What it may effect is the election. I do not put it past the American people, over the course of a year, to find a way to try and put this man back in office to specifically stick it to "the deep state" and a house of representatives conducting its proceedings in secret and/or in coordination with military/intelligence group eager to get Trump where it hurts. When Vindman suggested Trump would "subvert" US foreign policy, it revealed, pretty clearly, this doesn't have much at all to do with Biden. It has a very lot to do with how US foreign policy is executed and who damn well expects it to go the way they want it to go.

The "Deep State"? Really? That's what you've got now? Not possible that career civil servants and military, by both training and natural inclination order followers, were moved to protest because Trump was engaged in a corrupt scheme to bribe and/or extort a foreign country to create a false smear of one of his political opponents because they like swore an oath to uphold, preserve and protect the Constitution of the United States?

The president of the United States has had his sleezeball personal attorney conducting foreign policy that is contrary to what the State Department is doing. And the purpose of that "policy" being conducted by someone who isn't even a part of the government or subject to any kind of oversight is to try to strong arm a foreign country to gin up dirt on the president's perceived political enemies. He's using American foreign aid, which was appropriated by Congress and is not his own personal piggybank to benefit himself, to conduct his attempted extortion. It's about his personal interests (and as is usually the case with him, he is eager to do something sleezy and corrupt to benefit his personal interests), not what he thinks America's interests are. Which is exactly what impeachment was intended for.

This is not the Capone tax evasion case. Just because Donald Trump is a corrupt, lying fuck who should have been impeached for a number of other reasons, doesn't mean that kind of perversion of the office isn't serious -- or at least shouldn't be serious in a world that hasn't gone bonkers.

And millions of stupid people will still vote for him. What does that say about our country?

Trump told reporters just now he's thinking of going to Russia for the May Day parade as Putin's guest. Lotta antacids and beta blockers being taken at RNC offices as this is being posted.

Doesn't matter. They'll still kneel down and kiss his ring. #Don CorleoneTrump

well you can’t really blame them because he is the only one fighting every day for their interests unlike the dems who tweet all day watching cable news as their butlers quietly deposit the cash they got from violating the emoluments clause and investigating Tagg Romney.

    How terrible!

Going to a celebration of a victory in which the two countries were allied against a common foe.
