Kovalev is a high-mileage 36-year-old who went 4 - 4 in his last eight fights.

Canelo learned something important from Floyd.

Fight 'em on their way up or their way out. Never at their peak.

The people who say it's fixed are idiots, though, right.

Fixed? Who the fuck is saying that?

    Yes. Dopes.

One thing about Floyd, he would never fight a soft touch like Rocky Fielding though.

The argument they're saying is that Kovalev didn't throw power shots and that means the fix was in.

Actually, it just means that if he threw power shots, he would have been countered.

They also give the usual follow the money line of shit.

But with that multi-fight contract with DAZN, the worst thing that could have happened if Canelo lost was there would be a rematch, which would mean more money for Kovalev.

I guess it doesn't have to make sense, though.

    Mostly true.

He did fight a guy who never boxed professionally, however.

    Which is why Floyd's record remains 49 - 0*.

    Yeah, your friends are...special.

He was walking the line for the first seven rounds but he actually turned up his punch torque in the 8th and 9th rounds. But his camp knew that his gas task was limited and his chin was suspect, so fight at distance and keep Cinnabon from the short, power shots. He's not the "Krusher" anymore and hasn't been for a couple of years. I think he got concussed in his last fight against Anthony Yarde to be honest.

Just rewatched the fight, and remain in awe of this:

I know nobody knows anything, but c'mon.

Canelo, whom I disdain as a catchweight bullshit artist and PED cheat, fought a pretty perfect fight.

Inoue - Donaire is a great fight so far.

Inoue's corner doing a good job of managing a cut above his right eye.

    Streaming live right now.
