Chef reviews Popeye's Chicken Sandwich

    So, we have a Popeye's here in town, and I pull up to the drivethrough a little while ago expecting to see a sign that says "SOLD OUT" or something along those lines.....no such sign.

    So, I order one of these sandwiches, and the guy says "How many?"......as if my response was going to be "54 please"......nope.......I just order 1.

    I decided to get the spicy one.

    I will give them credit....they did not skimp on anything.

    The chicken breast itself is a good size. Bigger than Sonic......Bigger than KFC.....Bigger than Wendy's.....A titsy bit bigger than Chick-Fil-A......

    The chicken had very good flavor.

    The pickle was a nice touch.

    The bread tasted like I just ate a bag of assholes.

    The bread ruined the entire thing. I'm not even sure what kind of bread it was or was supposed to be, but it wasn't good.

    To quote Teddy KGB from Rounders......it was "OK".

    Overall, I shall give it 7 out of 10 toes.

    While I haven’t been to a Popeyes in some time, I prefer it over chic fil a. However, I have to admit “a bad of assholes” would be a great band name.

    Popeyes chicken is tasty. (Unfortunately, due to blood pressure/salt intake have carved out of diet :(

    Had the Popeye's sandwich for a work thing. Didn't get the spicy one, which I would have if I actually got one on my own.

    The non-spicy version is absolutely nothing special.

    I believe the proper term is box of chopped assholes.

    I carved it out of my diet too, but miss it dearly. I'd buy enough to have leftovers and then prefer it straight outta the fridge, no reheating.

    I just had the spicy chicken sandwich. Got it with macaroni and cheese.
    Put some of the mac n cheese on the sandwich.
    Holy Sheep Shit Batman. Now THAT is a sammich.
