Southern Rock Mount Rushmore

I started listening to all three when I was 15 or 16 years old and the music was new. I never soured on the ABB, although my fandom has been anywhere from reliable to spotty over the years. Skynyrd, after the crash, was never the same, and even then there was a redneck rock aspect to the fans that set my teeth on edge. Zep is a mixed bag, but go back and listen to LZ 1 and try to imagine what a thunderbolt it was when it dropped.

I liked some of the punk and new wave, but it was never my scene. I got sick of arena rock excess, but that was situational. Some of it was memorable, and some of it was rock and roll schlock.

    1. CCR? The dude abides.

    2. Carolina BBQ is a nice change of pace, but KC is the GOAT. Every and any meat is smoked and at the ready, with a nice molasses-based sauce ... when you’re not in the mood for the spicier variations.

    3. I don’t suppose anyone wants to tackle the Dirty South Mount Rushmore? Because I posit:
    - OutKast
    - Lil Wayne
    - T.I.
    - Three Six Mafia

As someone who takes a lot of pride in smoking meats of all varieties, I vote against this.
