And how about the Giants-Diamondbacks? Yaz hits 3 dingers. Two for Pillar. A total of 12 between the two teams. Dang.

Yeah, but I think Trout could tear it up in the dead-ball era. He's that damn good.

Tris Speaker may be the closest Dead Ball Era comparison (No. 2 all-time WAR for the Indians, No. 7 all-time for the Red Sox, per BB-ref). My grandfather thought he was better than Cobb.

Anyone going to hit 60 this year? How many will hit 50. The ball May be juiced but the players aren’t. This isn’t 1998-2001

All the guys at or near 40 now, Bellinger, Trout, Yelich, Alonso, have damn fine chances to hit at least 50.

Per the Boston Globe’s Pete Abraham via Twitter, the Red Sox have placed Chris Sale on the DL or IL or whichever with elbow inflammation, and have requested a consult from Dr. James Andrews. Sale had an MRI earlier Saturday, was not made available to the media, and Dombrowski told the media that Sale needs a couple of days to himself at this point.

    Surprised. He's usually a real cut-up.

Clevinger might be the most annoying pitcher to watch I've ever seen.
