Bonuses come in the form of slices of pizza, each missing one bite.

Can't imagine what peak SJ would have been like if Barstool had been around at the time. They make the shit we made fun of at the time seem like a day at the opera.

Mocking Portnoy, great. Deserved. It's a bit stranger seeing dozens of journalists and hundreds of other Twitter people berate, mock, ridicule and shame regular Barstool employees who didn't immediately announce plans to form a union or sue Portnoy or even had the audacity to crack jokes about it. Like Katz said on Twitter, Magary (among many other big names at Gawker Media) voted against Gawker Media's union like four years ago when it was formed. They all wrote essays (naturally; it's Gawker) about their decisions and many of them were about the whole procedure around the formation but the point was the same: they voted against creating a union. Which was perfectly fine! As it is if some Barstool people haven't immediately climbed on top of a cafeteria table holding signs. Some of the Twitter people, big name journalists or otherwise, acting personally injured or expressing utter disgust because some Barstool employees express ambivalence about the whole thing is bizarre.

To be clear: I wouldn't mock Barstool Employees for failing to vote for a union.

I would mock them for being fucking Barstool employees.

Who are the dozens of journalists?

And as far as the Barstool employees are concerned, who would be the dozens of journalists who would follow them?

Sounds like a red herring to me.

What he did was the equivalent of saying I will fire you if you are pregnant or if you complain about discrimination.

Katz and PFTC are followed by all kinds of journalists and those two are the ones who usually get the brunt of criticism from mainstream journos because they think the pair should know better than work for Barstool. Same thing held true today, journalists calling them out for being, among other things, bootlickers or just getting angry that they didn't lead an uprising by 5 p.m.
