    USA Today has turned into The Players’ Tribune it appears, but this is the same publication that’s had pay-for-play coverage of sports for years.

    As far as IndyCar is concerned? Probably because they own the Indianapolis Star? And the Star has always covered IndyCar as one of its core beats?

    USAT "cheats" now by taking the Star's IndyCar stories, but used to cover every race of the series with its own staff -- all while IndyCar was drawing flies on TV and not much more than that in the stands except for the Indy 500. I don't know if IndyCar was paying for everything down to the writers' per diems, but there was a financial agreement.
