Joe Sixpack is an aspirational voter. And the conservatives with money literally bank on it. They’ll pass on an income tax cut for themselves for elimination of capital gains and inheritance taxes. They have little chance of of having capital gains and no chance at an inheritance tax, but they believe they will. shit, farmers will go into foreclosure before they abandon an agricultural trade war. You can’t assume they’ll vote their own self interest, you have to spend the next year beating them over the head with it.

Some White men will vote for a black woman but if Harris wants a chance at white men who don’t live in NY and California she needs to abandon completely a racial identity. She, more than Obama, needs to say “I am the melting pot. I am an America without a hyphen” and @Driftwood is totally correct with his post. Job one is flush the shit. That’s all the progress progressives should care about.

I don't think that Joe Sixpack thinks that college should be free. I don't think that Joe Sixpack in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania think that the high cost of rent is the second biggest item on her agenda (I am going chronologically). I don't think that Joe Sixpack has ever given one iota of thought that reforming the cash bail system is a priority any presidential candidate needs to address to kick of a campaign. I don't think that Joe Sixpack in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania feels himself as voiceless and vulnerable. And I won't address your comment about white men voting for a black woman, except to say that it is an example of a victim mentality that turns off Joe Sixpack.

Harris' talking points are California talking points. It isn't going to mean shit to flyover people.

    Fuck.

I know I would vote for the Republican pirate guy out of texas rather than Harris.

Let's pick another candidate, and I will go to their site. Don't pick any dem over 65 years of age.

Trumpists have always been attracted to gigs like this. Even within law enforcement, this is especially appealing because everyone they arrest is someone they hate. Trumpist white cops have to arrest fellow white Trumpists every now and then.

So it sounds like your argument is only Biden can save us all. Because he's the only one even remotely like the candidate you described.

Also, you're kind of showing your ignorance. Kenosha is in the middle of Paul Ryan's district. It's elected a Republican to Congress for the past 25 years. The only time recently a Democrat took it was Obama in 2008. It's an R+5 district.

Joe Sixpack as described by you is a Trump voter and always will be. There's nothing any Democrat can do to win him. Trump could lose some few of him if the economy tanked, but that's it. BTW, the political science research that racial animus was the single strongest predictor of Trump's voters is extensive.

Harris may not be her own biggest problem. She’s a smart enough politician to know she doesn’t get to run for President unless she’s nominated. The liberal democrats are almost, Almost, as dogmatic as trump voters. She must believe that she can’t be nominated without running as Angela Davis.

Since the Republican Senate majority leader recently described DC statehood as "socialism" I think we know the GOP strategy already, no matter who is the Democratic nominee. It's the same old same old they've used since Hoover, with the added bonus of Trump calling whoever the nominee is a crook who should be locked up. Nobody should be nominated who fears that strategy one bit.
