Who is playing PG for the Lakers right now? You know OKC is already trying to deal Paul.

Rajon Rondo and Quinn Cook. But it's not humanly possible to fit Paul's contract in a trade. LA's only chance of getting Paul is to hope OKC waives him, which is possible.

Amazing the Rockets got a sucker to take the hideous contract.

It cost them two firsts and two swaps. And Russ' contract isn't a ton better. I'd say OKC did fine on this one.

Woj beat Shams' ass on this one.

Plus, assuming they keep him, if they're tanking and rebuilding with an eye on 2022 and beyond, Paul's contract comes off the books right about the time those draft picks start rolling in. With the bonus that, unlike Westbrook's similar contract, they're not bound by loyalty or fan emotion to try and keep around an aging superstar with another anchor of a contract.

If OKC can unload Paul without taking on any long-term money, they should jump at the chance.

As someone who doesnt much care for CP3-6 weeks, just the fact that he will be absolutely miserable during his time in OKC has me smiling.

Miami could do Dragic and Olynyk for Paul.

Detroit could do Jackson-Snell-Whitehead for Paul

Yeah, I'm not sure why OKC would have to throw in picks.

You want Paul because he'll make your team better and you can pair him with one (or two) of your top players.

Miami and Detroit are capped out anyway so their options for adding are limited.
