By my (admittedly sloppy) count, at least a dozen drivers won a Sprint Cup race in 2008, the first year of the CoT. This year, F1 has had exactly 2, and they are teammates.

50% of F1 races over the last four years have been won by the same driver.

French Grand Prix was brutal, not often you hear the Sky Sports crew talk - amongst themselves and with others in the paddock - about the "show" or lack of same in this one.

Alexander Rossi dumptrucked the field at Road America.

If Rossi signs with Penske, he might win the next 10 Indianapolis 500s.

For competitive-balance sake, I hope he doesn't. The racing is great in IndyCar and the drivers are nice guys (which is rather unfortunate, they need a Kyle Busch-type black hat), but Rossi to Penske would tip the scales too much.

Agreed, IndyCar always seems to be just hanging on, a really dominant team would just kill the competition. F1 this season is a masterclass in selling sizzle instead of steak.

F1 races are decided in qualifying and the first turn, and it's been that way for about two decades now.

Or in the stewards' box in Montreal.

If it helps with the black hat thing, Santino Ferrucci is a world-class piece of shit who is racing in IndyCar because he's unemployable in Europe.

NBC kinda glossed over, or more like ignored, that in their story on him on Sunday.
